Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Tapping Machine Operator - 3rd Shift at our Saegertown, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility. In this role, you will operate assigned mechanical equipment, inspect parts for quality, complete basic troubleshooting and adjustments, and support safe, efficient production. No prior experience is required.

  • Location: Saegertown, PA

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: 3rd Shift, Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM

  • Pay: $18/hour

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

  • Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required.

What You'll Do as a Tapping Machine Operator

  • Operate assigned mechanical equipment efficiently and safely.

  • Inspect produced items to ensure they meet quality requirements and product specifications.

  • Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and make necessary adjustments.

  • Use basic measuring instruments to verify product specifications.

  • Read and interpret blueprints when applicable.

  • Complete first-piece inspections as needed and complete required documentation fully and accurately.

  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • No specific education, prior experience, or certification is required.

  • Ability to operate machinery and use precision measurement tools.

  • Ability to interpret work instructions and follow written and verbal directions.

  • Basic mathematical skills.

  • Ability to complete required documentation accurately.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

  • Employees in this role stand for extended periods.

  • The position requires pushing and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Frequent bending and stooping are required.

  • Manual dexterity is required to handle small objects.

  • This role is performed in a noisy manufacturing environment.
