Viridian Staffing's (www.viridianstaffing.com) Client is looking for an experienced and passionateservant leader to be the General Manager of Cultivation for an outdoor andgreenhouse cannabis grow operation located about 1 hour north of the Saginaw,Michigan, area.

AsHead of Cultivation for this site, you will be responsible for collaboratingclosely with cultivation leadership of the organization on all activities inthe outdoor grow operation. You will direct and oversee the employeeactivities for all operations from propagation, planting and cultivating, toirrigation, harvesting, processing and record keeping. You should have a"roll up your sleeves" attitude and be very passionate about cannabisin order to be successful in this operation. You will be expected toupdate when necessary and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in aneffort to advance the Company's mission. Using your knowledgeof the State of Michigan's cannabis regulations and OSHA rules, you will ensureadherence to compliance and safety regulations by allemployees. Using your proven experience meeting or exceeding yieldand quality expectations, you will plan and direct operations for optimumsuccess and maximum crop production. As a successful, data-driven, peoplemanager, you enjoy hiring, training, and coaching employees in all aspects ofthe grow operation.
Theideal Head Grower will have 3+ years of commercial cannabis cultivationexperience, with at least 1+ years of that experience being as a people managerand a portion of this time managing a grow operation larger than 50K squarefeet of canopy. You have managed outdoor, greenhouse, and hoop housecultivation facilities, veg rooms, and have solid IPM experience. Youshould have experience growing with rockwool and soil. You havephenomenal communication skills and enjoy being part of a team, versus onlyspending time with the plants. You havea Bachelor's degree or higher in horticulture or agronomy or similar degree.You are an expert when it comes to climate control and understand crop planningand scheduling. Most of all, you are known for your ability tomotivate and inspire a large team of workers. Physical Requirements:
- Ability to exert up to 25‐50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and 10 pounds of force constantly in order to lift, move, and position cultivation equipment, supplies, and plants
- Ability to sit, stand, and perform repetitive activities with your hands for long periods of time
- Ability to balance, reach and grasp while climbing on a step stool and/or ladder
- Ability to crouch, grasp, and lift items above shoulders
- Ability to work in an environment with varying weather conditions
- Ability to work for a licensed Cannabis operation in the State of Michigan
Compensation: $120K + Bonus
