Job description:
St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks candidates for the position of Zamboni Drivers.  This is a part-time, non-exempt, seasonal position responsible for operating the ice resurfacing machine at the Drake Ice Arena. Compensation is $18 per hour.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operates the Zamboni and other hand-operated equipment.
• Performs light maintenance and monitors equipment.
• Responsible for opening and closing Drake Arena.
• Responsible for maintaining a quality ice sheet for user groups at all times.
• Monitors behavior and safety on and off the ice sheet.
• Maintains the cleanliness of facilities at all times.
• Visible and attentive to guests within the facility for events and ice rentals
• Follow established safety protocols
• Assist with event and game operations

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to be courteous and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and or with others.
• Ability to maintain prompt and dependable work.
• Ability to operate ice resurfacer and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Requirements

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
• Previous experience working with the public.
• Some mechanical, maintenance or custodial preferred but not required.
