Job Details: Job Location: Evangelical Home Saline - Saline, MI 48176, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: $16.75 - $18.50, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Health Care, Job Purpose:- The Laundry Aide at EHM Senior Solutions is responsible for ensuring that all laundry services are provided in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. The role is crucial to maintaining the hygiene and comfort of residents by delivering clean and well-maintained linens and garments.Key Responsibilities:- Collect, sort, and wash laundry items including linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing.- Operate laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently.- Ensure proper handling of laundry chemicals and detergents according to safety guidelines.- Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and damage, and report any issues to the supervisor.- Fold, organize, and distribute clean laundry to designated areas and residents.- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and equipment.- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying the supervisor of any shortages.- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.- Provide exceptional service to residents and staff by responding promptly to laundry-related requests and concerns.Qualifications: Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.- Experience working in a healthcare or senior living environment is advantageous.Required Skills and Abilities:- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and proper handling of garments.- Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents and staff professionally.- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.- Basic understanding of cleaning agents and their proper use.
