Position	HISTORY PART-TIME ADJUNCT PROFESSOR

Position Summary	The Division of Liberal Arts and Humanities is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to facilitate courses in African American History by delivering high-quality instruction in flexible formats, including in person and potentially hybrid or online classes. Adjunct faculty play a critical role in supporting student success, particularly for non-traditional students balancing education with work, family, and other responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities *The results you will deliver each day that matter most!*	Teach assigned courses in accordance with established curriculum and academic standards Facilitate engaging, student-centered learning experiences tailored to adult learners Provide clear course expectations, timely feedback, and fair assessment of student performance Maintain regular communication with students and respond promptly to questions or concerns Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment Submit required documentation, including syllabi, attendance, grades, and course reports, in a timely manner Participate in departmental meetings or training sessions Other duties as assigned
Education/ Experience *What you will need to be successful!*	Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a related field (required); doctorate preferred for some subject areas Prior teaching experience in higher education, adult education, or a related setting preferred Experience working with adult or non-traditional students strongly preferred Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to teach in flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends Experience teaching blended, hybrid, and online classes are a plus.
