Support the External Communications team in increasing the awareness, perception, and public presence of Seminaries and Institutes of Religion. This role assists with external messaging, social media, branding, campaigns, events, and public relations while helping leaders, areas, and programs communicate with a consistent S&I voice.

Responsibilities

External Communications

  • Support messaging and communication plans for S&I products, initiatives, and events.

  • Draft copy, announcements, presentations, and other communication materials.

  • Assist with communication across Church-owned, Church-friendly, and partner channels.

  •  

Social Media

  • Support S&I social media content, publishing calendars, and engagement for S&I’s contribution on Flagship youth and young adult channels.

  • Capture and organize photo/video content for social media and campaigns.

  • Monitor trends, performance, and best practices.

  • Support S&I program-managed social media channels.

  •  

Branding & Workforce Support

  • Help maintain branding, messaging, and style resources.

  • Create templates, graphics, guidebooks, and awareness materials.

  • Support communication resources used by leaders, areas, and programs.

  •  

Campaign & Event Support

  • Support communication efforts for major initiatives, and events.

  • Assist with event storytelling, content capture, and promotional materials.

  • Help coordinate communication needs across participating teams.

  •  

Public Relations

  • Assist with media outreach, creator and advocate relationships, and story development..

  • Track media coverage, campaign visibility, and communication results.

  • Support institute centennial and 1M student milestone media initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital communications, and current trends.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.

  • Experience creating presentations, graphics, or digital content is preferred.

  • Interest in communications, public relations, marketing, branding, or journalism.

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university, or graduated within the past year.
