Manufacture new parts and modify existing components according to blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions using various machine tools.
Perform machining operations to restore components to their proper working condition.
Accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand specifications and tolerances.
Select appropriate materials based on application requirements and material properties.
Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) to ensure parts meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
Perform routine maintenance on assigned machine tools, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials. Identify and report any unsafe conditions.
Work effectively with maintenance technicians, engineers, and other departments to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any modifications made.

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training is highly preferred.
Proven experience as a machinist, preferably in a maintenance environment.
Strong knowledge of machining principles, techniques, and tooling.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematic and to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and good communication skills.
