Job Details: Job Location: Wholehearted Senior Living at Oakwell - San Antonio, TX, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Position SummaryThe Kitchen Aide supports daily kitchen operations by assisting with meal preparation, serving meals, washing dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This position helps provide residents with a safe, pleasant dining experience.Responsibilities Assist the cook with basic food preparation, portioning, and plating. Serve meals and beverages according to residents’ assigned diets, food textures, and instructions. Follow food safety procedures, including proper handwashing, food storage, and temperature controls. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment. Clean and sanitize countertops, dining tables, work areas, and floors. Remove trash and replace trash can liners. Receive, label, date, and store food and supplies appropriately. Keep kitchen and storage areas organized. Report equipment problems, unsafe conditions, and supply shortages. Communicate resident food concerns or requests to the cook or supervisor. Treat residents, families, and coworkers with kindness and respect. Complete other kitchen duties as assigned.Qualifications: Qualifications Previous kitchen, food service, or senior living experience preferred. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Dependable attendance and good communication skills. Food handler training or certification as required. Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow safety procedures.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, push carts, and lift or move kitchen supplies, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.Reports ToLead Cook / Dietary Supervisor / Executive Director.
