Freight Chicken Job Details: 

We are professional, agile, innovative and our goal is to Freight Fried Chicken is San Antonio’s newest fried chicken restaurant. Serving up award winning fried chicken from James Beard nominated Chef Nicola Blaque.

Duties:
 - Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
 - Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
 - Assist with menu planning and recipe development
 - Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations
 - Maintain a clean and organized work station
 - Follow proper knife handling and safety procedures
 - Assist with food service during peak hours

Requirements:
 - Previous experience in a similar role preferred
 - Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
 - Strong culinary skills and ability to prepare a variety of dishes
 - Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools
 - Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
 - Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
 - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Skills:
 - Food safety knowledge and adherence to regulations
 - Food preparation techniques and experience working in a kitchen environment
 - Culinary skills including knife handling, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles
 - Familiarity with menu planning and recipe development
 - Understanding of the restaurant industry and food service operations
 - Willingness to assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed (e.g., dishwashing, prep work)
 - Experience as a dietary aide is a plus
