Seeking a Lab Technician I to support laboratory operations by maintaining facilities and equipment, managing waste and supplies, and assisting research teams with day-to-day lab needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of incubators, water baths, centrifuges, and cold-storage equipment.
- Log maintenance activities and laboratory data accurately using specialized software.
- Triage help-desk tickets and troubleshoot basic equipment issues and lab malfunctions.
- Conduct daily lab safety inspections and report concerns to EHS.
- Manage collection and safe disposal of biological and chemical hazardous waste.
- Wash and autoclave glassware and maintain PPE and laboratory supplies.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution.
- Support Lab Managers with equipment troubleshooting and laboratory maintenance procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelorās degree in a scientific discipline + 1+ year lab experience, ORĀ High School Diploma/GED + 3+ years of laboratory experience.
- Pipetting skills
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and teamwork.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine laboratory/equipment issues.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
