SUMMARY The Facilities Maintenance Technician III ("Ingeniero/a de Mantenimiento I") assists to ensure equipment, physical plant, and property are maintained properly so that equipment operates at optimum levels. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Completes work assignments and tasks in cooperation with other facility technicians in a team-oriented environment. Works with the Maintenance Planning department to evaluate needs for all work requests--both scheduled and unscheduled--as well as any special projects that arise. Follows up on preventative maintenance on refrigeration units, plumbing, electrical, overhead doors, and any other mechanical systems. Assists in repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Reviews and maintains maintenance logs, and completes any and all documentation necessary to the completion of a task. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training. If no educational background, at least 1 year. Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred. Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required. Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges. Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs. Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc. The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq. **The pay scale posted is the salary or hourly wage range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position during the first year of employment. The posted range does NOT include potential additional types of compensation, such as gratuities, service charges, commissions, or bonuses.
