Discounts on cell phone bills, shoes, gym memberships, and more!ESSENTIAL DUTIES Proactively provides our guests with personal service and attention that exceeds their expectations. Assists with Valet operations as needed based on business needs, including parking and retrieving guest vehicles while providing professional guest service. Plays a key role in ensuring that all guest needs are met in a timely manner by interacting and communicating closely with other departments in the hotel. Continuously provides excellent customer service when making reservations and uses effective up-selling techniques. Maintains a house bank and conforms to established cash handling procedures. Processes guest billing using cash, checks, credit cards and special billing. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training. Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred. Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required. For insurance purposes, candidates must be over 21 years of age.  Must have an unexpired and valid driver's license with no recent violations. Must be able to safely operate vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.  Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges. Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs. Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc. The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.**The pay scale posted is the salary or hourly wage range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position during the first year of employment.
