Position: Medical Practice Administer

Location: La Jolla, La Mesa

Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 (Depending on experience)

Job Summary: 

The Practice Administer serves as the senior administrative and operational leader of Diabetes & Endocrine Specialists and is responsible for the overall business, financial, operational, and personnel performance of the practice. The Practice Administer acts as Physician Owner primary business partner and oversees all non-clinical operations.


Key Responsivities: 

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple clinic locations to ensure efficient workflows, patient access, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction and address concerns to support an exceptional patient experience.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and develop clinical and administrative staff.
  • Provide performance coaching, feedback, and support employee development.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Track budgets and monitor financial performance, labor costs, and operational metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support practice profitability.
  • Oversee revenue cycle performance, including billing, collections, denials, accounts receivable, and reimbursement trends.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement process improvements as needed.
  • Provide operational oversight for ancillary programs, including DEXA Services, Clinical Research Operations, Diabetes Technology Programs, Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Programs, and Insulin Pump Programs.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of healthcare management experience, preferably within a physician practice or specialty clinic.
  • Experience managing multi-site operations and supervising teams.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, revenue cycle management, and staff leadership.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), practice management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
