Job Description

As a Security Officer Residential Overnight Driving Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist residents and visitors with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Bring strong communication and customer service skills while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the residential community, verify visitor and vendor entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintain appropriate activity logs.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
