Description

Position Summary

The Server Assistant supports Servers and VIP Hosts to deliver fast, friendly, flawless service in a high-volume nightclub environment. This role focuses on table resets, running beverages and mixers, stocking, sanitation, and guest support so the floor runs smooth from open to close.


Essential Functions of the Job

  • Reset and stage tables quickly after guest departure including glassware, bar tools, garnishes, and menus
     
  • Run beverages, mixers, ice, and barbacks supplies to Server and VIP stations with urgency and accuracy
     
  • Maintain par levels for glassware, napkins, straws, garnishes, juices, and bottled water throughout the shift
     
  • Keep service areas immaculate bussing glassware, clearing trash, wiping surfaces, and sweeping as needed
     
  • Support bottle service presentations with setup, sparklers per policy, and safe passage through crowds
     
  • Monitor sections for guest needs water top offs, extra glassware, cleanups, and spills
     
  • Communicate with security and management on hazards broken glass, spills, guest incidents
     
  • Follow safe food and beverage handling including ice control and sanitizer use to health code standards
     
  • Operate POS as directed for support tasks and follow cash and tip-pool procedures
     
  • Comply with venue rules related to age restrictions, ABC license requirements, RBS training, and ID practices
     
  • Participate in pre shift and post shift duties opening checklists, closing side work, and end of night breakdown
     
  • Other related duties as assigned to support smooth operations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in nightlife, high volume restaurant, or events is preferred
     
  • Must meet age requirements applicable to the license and local law for this venue
     
  • Valid Responsible Beverage Service RBS certificate required or able to complete within 30 days
     
  • POS familiarity and basic cash handling are a plus
     
  • Able to stand and move continuously for extended periods lift and carry up to 40 pounds safely
     
  • Availability for late nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
     

Work Environment

  • Loud music, dim or strobe lighting, crowded floor, and fast paced service windows
     
  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and carrying across stairs or platforms depending on venue layout
     
  • Personal protective equipment provided as needed gloves, cut-resistant tools, wet floor signage
