Under the supervision of a Legal Skills Professor, Honors Instructors support Legal Skills faculty in facilitating legal writing courses by assisting with class preparation, leading discussions or activities as needed, and providing academic support to fellow students, while upholding high standards of scholarship and professionalism.

 

PLEASE NOTE: This position is limited to current CWSL students. 

Primary Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

Assist with Instruction:

  • Facilitate discussions or small group activities under the guidance of the faculty instructor.
  • Provide feedback and assistance to students on course material and assignments.
  • Hold office hours to provide individual support and answer student questions.

Contribute to Course Development (as appropriate):

  • Assist in preparing lesson materials, presentations, and supplementary resources.
  • Potentially deliver guest lectures or lead specific sections with the instructor's approval.

Support Student Learning:

  • Help students develop higher-level thinking skills through active involvement and guidance.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment for students.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Assist with grading assignments, exams, and other course work in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Help maintain accurate records of student progress and participation.
  • Manage course communications through the designated learning management system.


Compensation: $1,600.00 stipend per section
