Overview

We are seeking a Technical Coordinator for tenant improvement projects (e.g., terminal concessions). The Technical Coordinator will report to an ADC Project Manager. The position's scope includes coordination and review of architectural design and construction elements of tenant improvement projects. 


Responsibilities

  • Support the Design Review process for all project related deliverables with stakeholders, including but not limited to organizing stakeholder engagement process, review comment process, page turn process and comment reconciliation process.
  • Schedule and coordinate design review meetings with stakeholders including but not limited to preparing presentations, meeting with tenant designers and contractors and presenting it to stakeholders in collaboration with tenant designers and contractors.
  • Participate in project coordination and design review meetings to identify interfaces and coordination requirements.
  • Support project manager in tracking project budgets, cost estimates and project schedules; assist in project schedule status reporting by evaluating project progress; maintain project tracking logs and help monitor timely responses from project participants.
  • Coordinate the routing, tracking, and administrative processing of tenant design deliverables, design changes, submittals, RFI’s, permit related documents, and close out materials.
  • Address Operations and Maintenance issues in the design, including issues that may interfere with operations or maintainability of facilities and utilities.
  • Review design documents for compliance with Airport Authority’s A&E Requirements, guidelines and standards.
  • Maintain project records, correspondence, meeting materials, review comments, permit documents, submittals, RFIs, change request documentation and close-out records in accordance with ADC document management procedures.
  • Assist the PM in preparation of project data and information for Authority management and external governmental communication.
  • Support the PM in the implementation of work with Authority’s Terminal Business Development (TBD) Department, Art Program Department, and Airline Relations Departments based on terms of tenant lease agreements and contracts.
  • In coordination with Tenant Project Manager (PM) and Art Program Manager, assist with drafting letters, preparing meeting announcements, processing change requests, collecting required documents, and tracking outstanding information.
  • Prepare agendas and meeting notes. Lead project meetings and follow-ups for assigned tasks.
  • Provide oversight of Tenant’s AHJ permit submissions. Confirm work is complete for permit submittal and that review schedule and comment resolution efforts are on track.
  • Support construction with Authority Construction Management Inspectors, Safety and Security Departments with monitoring design and construction progress against the project parameters. Participate in pre-construction, safety, and construction progress meetings.
  • Review and monitor to ensure RFIs, submittals, and field changes are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Support Tenant PM and Art PM in project close-out.
  • Contribute to the advancement of ADC’s goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in design or coordination/management of tenant improvement projects. 
  • Effective, collaborative communication and leadership style.
  • Comfortable with taking initiative.
  • Excellent written and oral skills including ability to communicate complex issues to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to take on additional tasks as the project requires.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with CADD and BIM programs, is required.
  • Knowledge of Project Management software such as PM Web or equivalent, is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.


Compensation: $90,000 to $140,000 per year (depending on qualifications)
