Antitrust Associate — San Francisco

Our client is seeking an antitrust associate with 3 to 7 years of experience to join its Antitrust and Competition team in San Francisco. The associate will represent clients in civil litigation, civil conduct investigations, and criminal enforcement matters.

The work

• Contribute to the representation of clients in civil antitrust litigation, applying substantive antitrust law to the issues presented in each matter.
• Work on civil conduct investigations conducted by the Department of Justice or Federal Trade Commission, supporting client representation through strong legal analysis and writing.
• Contribute to client matters involving criminal antitrust enforcement, developing a working understanding of the legal issues and enforcement context.
• Analyze antitrust questions across litigation, civil investigations, and criminal enforcement matters, and communicate that analysis through written work.
• Work with an Antitrust and Competition team on matters involving government enforcement agencies, with prior agency-facing experience valued.

What you bring

• Three to seven years of legal experience; the target law school class years are 2019 through 2023.
• Substantive knowledge of antitrust law.
• Strong legal writing skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Top academic credentials.
• Experience working with enforcement agencies is preferred.
• Prior government service with the DOJ or FTC is preferred.
