We’re hiring a founding engineer to build with us. You’ll work directly with the founding team, shape our technical direction, and own critical systems from the first prototype through production and deployment in the field.

We’re looking for a strong generalist with depth in data, infrastructure, robotics, or hardware, and the curiosity and judgment to work across all of them.

What you’ll do

• Build across the stack. Ship backend services, operator applications, internal tools, and whatever else moves the company forward.

• Turn real-world activity into useful data. Own pipelines for capture, ingestion, processing, quality evaluation, and delivery to labs.

• Make the infrastructure hold. Move large volumes of data reliably across devices, collection sites, and cloud systems. Own performance, reliability, observability, and cost.

• Connect hardware and software. Work with cameras, sensors, and collection devices. Diagnose failures across the system and improve how it performs in real conditions.

• Travel and deploy. Work alongside operators and partners around the world. Launch deployments, solve problems on site, and bring those lessons back into the product.

• Help build the company. Make consequential decisions about architecture, priorities, hiring, and how we work.

Who you are

• You’ve built and shipped difficult things, and can explain the decisions and tradeoffs behind them.

• You have strong engineering fundamentals and can take an ambiguous problem through to a working system.

• You learn unfamiliar domains quickly and take ownership without waiting for detailed instructions.

• You care about quality, including the details that only become visible after deployment.

• You communicate clearly, have high integrity, and bring a high ability-to-ego ratio.

• You want to go all in on building a company. You’re energized by a demanding pace, substantial responsibility, and hard problems.

• You’re keen to travel internationally and work wherever the problem needs you.

Experience with large datasets, video pipelines, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, robotics, embedded systems, or hardware integration is especially valuable. Depth in one or more of these areas, paired with broad engineering ability, is what we’re looking for.
