Founding Product Designer

About the Role

Join an early-stage B2B SaaS team as its first dedicated product designer, shaping the design language and user experience of a platform for technical hiring. You will work across experiences for recruiters, engineers, and candidates, helping make skills assessment and hiring workflows clear and effective.

What You'll Do

• Explore the product across its user groups and identify where interface friction affects the experience.

• Establish and maintain a cohesive design system across the platform.

• Use product analytics, session recordings, and tools such as PostHog to identify opportunities and guide design improvements.

• Partner with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to improve assessment flows and hiring dashboards.

• Redesign the company website, owning its information architecture, visual design, and front-end implementation.

What We're Looking For

• Two to four years of product design experience, with strong skills in Figma and production TypeScript.

• Experience as an early design hire at a startup, with technical fluency and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers.

• A portfolio demonstrating polished, shipped product work that combines UX and visual design with front-end implementation.

• Experience building and maintaining a design system, using product analytics tools such as PostHog, and working across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.

• Experience with software for hardware or technical domains, such as CAD, simulation, or developer tools, is valuable.

• Comfort working at an early-stage pace, making decisions and shipping improvements without lengthy research cycles.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $140,000 to $185,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
