About the RoleĀ 

We areĀ seekingĀ a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join the newĀ Project GraphĀ servicesĀ teamĀ at Adobe.Ā Ā Ā 

Ā 

Project Graph is a new creative system that lets you combine first and third-party AI models, Adobe tools, and custom interactive components inside a visual, designer-friendly node graph editor. Connect a library of tactile, interactive components that bring creative control of AI back to your fingertips. Transform ideas into powerful workflows and modular tools that run anywhere, from the web to Adobe apps like Photoshop. And ifĀ you’dĀ rather focus on creating than building, you can tap into a growing ecosystem of community-built tools without ever opening the editor.Ā

The services team focuses on developingĀ HTTPĀ APIs forĀ two primaryĀ uses:Ā (1)Ā managing GraphĀ plugins, their versioning, publishing, accessĀ controlĀ and search, (2)Ā async compute platform for running Graphs on the cloud.Ā 

Ā 

In thisĀ backend-focusedĀ role,Ā you will play a keyĀ roleĀ inĀ developingĀ HTTP APIs, working closely with cluster orchestrators like Kubernetes, and building on top of AWS cloud infrastructure.Ā

WhatĀ you'llĀ do:Ā Ā 

  • CollaborativelyĀ writeĀ scalable, resilientĀ HTTPĀ APIsĀ for Project GraphĀ 

  • Contribute to anĀ async job scheduling systemĀ built on top of Kubernetes and PostgresĀ 

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure to meet reliability,Ā performanceĀ and cost goalsĀ 
      

What you need to succeed:Ā Ā 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience inĀ ComputerĀ Science.Ā 

  • 5-10Ā years ofĀ backendĀ software development experience.Ā 

  • Strong hands-on experienceĀ inĀ anyĀ server-side language; we useĀ Node.js/Typescript.Ā 

  • ExpertiseĀ with Kubernetes.Ā 

  • Experience with Postgres, Redis, or other data stores.Ā 

  • Experience withĀ Terraform and AWS.Ā 

  • Experience withĀ bash andĀ CI/CDĀ tools,Ā likeĀ CircleCI.Ā 

  • ExpertiseĀ in HTTPĀ APIĀ securityĀ 

  • An interest in and ability to learnĀ new technologies.Ā 

  • Ability to tackle problems in a sustainable way, always striving to improveĀ ourĀ processesĀ and learn.Ā 

  • Excellent verbal and written communicationĀ skills;Ā can effectively articulate complex ideas and influence others through well-reasoned explanations.Ā

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $173,500 -- $331,050 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $228,600 - $331,050


At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.Ā  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
