Summary:Ā Ā Ā Provide immigration legal counsel and direct representation to SF pathways participants and in-house clients in applying for immigration benefits. Provide legal information sessions for citizenship class students as needed.Ā
Essential Functions:
ā¦ Provide clear and comprehensive legal advice to clients. Researches the law and consults experts when necessary.
ā¦ Provides naturalization services such as direct representation, completing applications, assisting in securing waivers, and providing information and referrals.
ā¦ Handles client information and files in accordance with the agencyās policies.
ā¦ Attends trainings required to maintain up-to-date legal knowledge as needed.
ā¦ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
ā¦ Bachelorās Degree with two years of legal experience or associate degree with three years of legal experience.
ā¦ Law degree with 5 yearsā experience practicing immigration law.
ā¦ Sensitive to the needs of the elderly and to diverse ethnic and minority cultures.
ā¦ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and presentation skills.Ā
ā¦ Bilingual in English and Cantonese, Mandarin or other languages a plus.
ā¦ Must be organized and able to work independently and in a team setting.Ā
ā¦ Proficient in MS Office and the internet.
