Job Function:
Manage the procurement of major materials and equipment, lead contract negotiations with key suppliers, and ensure that all procured items meet project specifications, budgets, and delivery schedules.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and evaluate potential local and international suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and project scopes to fully understand material requirements.
- Prepare cost comparison reports and procurement justifications for management approval.
- Act as the technical bridge between internal engineering teams and suppliers to clarify specifications and resolve technical queries.
- Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and contracts, ensuring that all terms, conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules are clearly defined.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery timelines, warranties, and after-sales support to secure the best overall value.
- Coordinate with logistics, warehousing, and site teams to ensure deliveries are scheduled in line with project construction timelines.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related engineering field, preferably within the MEP industry.
Technical Skills:
- HVAC Systems
- Plumbing Systems
- Fire Fighting System
- Low Voltage (LV) Electrical Systems
- Low Current / ELV Systems
Software & Language Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- French is a must.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
