Role Purpose / Mission
The Maintenance General Business Manager provides strategic and operational leadership over the facility鈥檚 maintenance function. This role ensures that all equipment, utilities, and infrastructure operate safely, reliably, and efficiently to support production goals. The Maintenance GBM empowers Shift Business Managers and maintenance teams to drive uptime, reduce costs, and implement continuous improvement in reliability practices.

Key Responsibilities

路聽聽聽聽聽 Lead, mentor, and develop Maintenance Shift Business Managers and frontline maintenance staff
路聽聽聽聽聽 Establish and track maintenance KPIs (safety, equipment uptime, mean time to repair, maintenance cost per unit)
路聽聽聽聽聽 Align maintenance priorities with overall plant operations and corporate objectives
路聽聽聽聽聽 Drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime
路聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain to remove bottlenecks
路聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards for maintenance activities
路聽聽聽聽聽 Develop and manage maintenance budgets, capital planning, and forecasting
路聽聽聽聽聽 Lead reliability initiatives, including root cause failure analysis and continuous improvement

Required & Preferred Qualifications
聽
Required:
聽
路聽聽聽聽聽 5+ years of experience in maintenance leadership within manufacturing or heavy industry
路聽聽聽聽聽 Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
路聽聽聽聽聽 Proven success in preventive/predictive maintenance and reliability programs
路聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and cross-functional projects

路聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field
路聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with CMMS systems and predictive technologies (vibration, thermography, oil analysis)
路聽聽聽聽聽 Background in tubing, pipe, or metal fabrication environments

Typical Physical Demands

路聽聽聽聽聽 Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per day on a regular basis
路聽聽聽聽聽 Requires additional hours of work as needed to meet business and departmental demands
路聽聽聽聽聽 Frequent walking throughout the manufacturing facility (distances of up to 2 miles per day)
路聽聽聽聽聽 Must be able to stand for extended periods during inspections or equipment reviews
