Through the Camburg division in Huntington Beach, CA. Magnaflow also supplies race-inspired performance suspension products and vehicle uplifting services, Magnaflow is focused on future growth through both new business development and new product introduction. Salary Range: $20.00-$25.00 per Hour USD *Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. What you will be doing: Camburg Engineering is seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to support our R&D damper development program. This hands-on role is central to shock absorber assembly, dyno testing, vehicle integration, and the documentation of development data. An ideal candidate is eager to learn, mechanically skilled, and comfortable in a fast-paced performance engineering environment. Responsibilities: Hands-on damper assembly and disassembly across all Camburg shock product lines Execute tuning changes to shock valving, shim stacks, and fluid specifications per engineer direction Perform shock dynamometer testing — operate dyno, record sweep data, log results Install and uninstall shock assemblies on test vehicles; support on-vehicle evaluation sessions Assist with production build support as required by scheduling demands Collect, organize, and input data into R&D development sheets and tracking documents Maintain R&D documentation with accuracy — dev sheets, part revision logs, test records General shop upkeep — maintain cleanliness, organization, and tool accountability QualificationsRequirements: Mechanical aptitude — comfortable using hand tools, torque wrenches, and shop equipment Basic computer skills — data entry, spreadsheets, documentation software Knowledge of shock absorbers and damper assembly is a plus; willingness to learn is required Ability to lift 75 lbs unassisted Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving R&D tasks Team-oriented with good attention to detail and a strong work ethic What you need: Hands-on shop and lab environment — standing, bending, and lifting are routine Direct collaboration with senior R&D engineer and the broader Camburg engineering team Exposure to off-road suspension testing, vehicle builds, and race development programs What’s in it for you?
