About the Role:

The Rack Runner/Depanning position is a vital role within the manufacturing environment, focused on efficiently handling baked goods or similar products as they come out of the oven or production line. The primary goal is to ensure that products are carefully removed from racks or pans without damage, maintaining product quality and consistency. This role supports the production team by preparing racks for the next batch, organizing products for further processing or packaging, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and hygiene standards are critical to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with manufacturing protocols. Ultimately, the Rack Runner/Depanning role contributes directly to the smooth operation of the production line and the timely delivery of high-quality products to customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or food production environments.
• Physical capability to lift and move racks weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or bakery production setting.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards in food production.
• Basic knowledge of inventory or production tracking systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Forklift or material handling equipment certification.

Responsibilities:

• Remove baked goods or products from racks or pans carefully to avoid damage.
• Transport racks to and from ovens, cooling areas, or packaging stations efficiently.
• Prepare and organize racks for the next production cycle, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Inspect products for quality and report any defects or irregularities to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking rack usage and product flow.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards.
