Part-Time | $18.21-$19.21 per hour

At the Sonoma County Family YMCA, Swim Instructors help children and adults gain confidence, learn life-saving skills, and discover the joy of being in the water. Every lesson is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on someone's life.

Whether you're an experienced instructor, a former swimmer, a lifeguard, or someone who loves working with people, we'd love to have you on our team.

What You'll Do

As a Swim Instructor, you'll create a safe, engaging, and encouraging environment where swimmers of all ages can learn and grow.

You'll:

Teach swim lessons using YMCA curriculum
Help participants develop swimming skills and water safety awareness
Build positive relationships with children, adults, and families
Encourage confidence, achievement, and personal growth
Track attendance and student progress
Prepare and care for class equipment
Support a positive and welcoming aquatic environment

Schedule

We're looking for team members who are available to work a variety of shifts, including:

✅ Weekdays-Afternoons & Evenings

✅ Weekends

What We're Looking For

Must be at least 16 years old by date of hire
Passion for working with children and families
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
YMCA Swim Lesson certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
