Student Wellness Counselor – Spanish Speaking

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Bilingual School Counselor to support an Illinois middle school community through a full-time leave coverage assignment. This temporary position will run from August 11 through November 16 and is a great opportunity for a student-focused counselor who enjoys empowering adolescents through academic guidance, personal development, and social-emotional support.

As part of a collaborative student services team, you will serve as a trusted resource for students by providing counseling support, promoting positive relationships, and helping students overcome barriers to success. Your Spanish and English language skills will play an important role in strengthening communication with students, caregivers, and school personnel while fostering an inclusive and supportive school environment.


Job Duties:
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and welcoming school culture.
  • Develop supportive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Connect students and families with appropriate resources and support services.
  • Provide individual and small-group counseling services to support student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student concerns.
  • Assist students with academic planning, social-emotional development, and personal growth.

Requirements

Must be bilingual in Spanish and English and demonstrate strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. School-based counseling experience is preferred but not required. Applicants must hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Counselor endorsement and have a passion for creating a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes student success.
