Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for 13-week travel assignments in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

This position is primarily focused on inpatient Speech-Language Pathology, with the possibility of providing some outpatient coverage depending on department needs.

The SLP will evaluate and treat adult patients with communication, cognitive, neurological, and swallowing disorders. The patient population may include individuals recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson鈥檚 disease, trauma, prolonged intubation, and other neurological or medical conditions.

Candidates should be comfortable performing cognitive evaluations, dysphagia assessments, and swallowing-related treatment while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and functional goals.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide evidence-based speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform bedside swallowing evaluations.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assess patients for dysphagia and aspiration risk.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in or perform instrumental swallowing assessments when appropriate and within competency.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide treatment for patients following stroke or traumatic brain injury.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Evaluate and treat patients with Parkinson鈥檚 disease and other neurological disorders.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assess communication and swallowing function following prolonged intubation.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform cognitive-communication evaluations.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Complete cognitive and functional assessments related to a patient鈥檚 ability to safely return home.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop recommendations for supervision, safety, communication strategies, and discharge planning.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment strategies and home programs.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, case managers, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care-planning discussions.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support discharge planning and transitions of care.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide outpatient Speech-Language Pathology services when assigned.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Nebraska

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to work independently in an inpatient hospital environment

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong written and verbal communication skills

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team

Schedule Requirements

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Day Shift

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 40 hours per week

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Approximately five workdays per week

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Exact daily shift length and start/end times should be confirmed based on department scheduling.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Some outpatient coverage may be required depending on patient volume and operational needs.
