The UW Medical Center-Montlake Pharmacy Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Pharmacy Quality Assurance Coordinator (Pharmacist 4).

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-Time / 40 hours per week
Day Shifts

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Direct, develop, implement and evaluate quality assurance programs across UW Medicine Pharmacies.
Responsibilities include working with area managers to design and implement quality assurance policies and standards in accordance with the pharmacy department’s standard operating procedures.
The position requires working independently in a highly efficient and organized manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead UW Medicine Department of Pharmacy’s quality assurance programs.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and system expectations governing pharmaceutical services.
Develop, implement and maintain, in collaboration with pharmacy managers, training programs, and competency assessments for pharmacy personnel.
Compose and implement reporting of key performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
Proactively lead hospital-wide preparation for regulatory body surveys and investigations, ensuring continuous preparedness.
Lead projects related to process improvement and regulatory requirements
Maintain thorough knowledge of technical advances and current practice standards in quality assurance.
Create and maintain policies and standard operating procedures for the UW Medicine pharmacy department.
Assume other responsibilities in the management of the pharmacy department quality assurance program as delegated.

DESIRED:

Prior experience leading a health-system quality assurance program.
Demonstrated experience communicating and collaborating effectively in a health-system environment.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Three years experience in pharmacy practice. Months spent in the completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists accredited residency training program may substitute month-for-month for the experience.

LEGAL REQUIREMENT

State of Washington Pharmacist License

$162,672.00 annual
