Job DetailsJob Location: 0001 St. James Cathedral, Seattle - Seattle, WA 98104Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $39.00 - $39.00 Hourly1. Serve as a section leader for the Cathedral Choir at Thursday evening rehearsals and Sunday 10:00am mass (mid-September thru mid-June). Thursday evening rehearsals are from 7:30-9:30 PM. Sunday morning rehearsal before mass is at 9:00 AM. 2. Serve as a member of the Cathedral Cantorei for special services and concerts; additionally, members of the Cantorei sing at Sunday 10:00am and Noon masses in the absence of the Cathedral Choir (including summer months). Additional special services and concerts may be identified at a later date. 3. Have all choral music thoroughly prepared prior to all rehearsals. Provide vocal and musical support to the volunteer choir members, and provide leadership for congregational singing. 4. Lead choral warm-ups and sectional rehearsals on occasion, as determined by the Director of Music. 5. Secure a competent substitute when requested by the Director of Music if the section leader must be absent from a scheduled rehearsal or service. 6.  Additional work may be available as a Cantor and/or Funeral and Wedding Soloist. This position reports to the Director of Music.   Qualificationsdetermined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
