Job Description Summary

The Redhawk Ambassador serves as the enthusiastic face of Seattle University Athletics, creating exceptional guest experiences at athletic events. This part-time, event-based role combines guest services with light security duties, perfect for outgoing community members who bleed Redhawk red and want to be part of something bigger.

Position Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist guests with genuine enthusiasm and school spirit
  • Provide directions, information, and support throughout events
  • Monitor crowd behavior and enforce venue policies in a friendly manner
  • Engage fans to enhance their game day experience and build lasting connections
  • Coordinate with event staff and contracted security as needed
  • Represent Seattle University with pride and professionalism as part of our ambassador community

 

Qualifications

  • Outgoing personality with excellent people skills and life experience
  • Genuine passion for Seattle University and Redhawk athletics
  • Ability to stay calm and professional in busy environments
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Availability for evenings and weekends – 3-4 hours/event, 2-6 events/month
  • Undergraduate students will NOT be considered for this position. Graduate students may be considered but will be paid at the campus student employment rate if hired.

The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.

Positions designated as hybrid eligible may offer the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule after successful completion of an introductory period of 3–6 months. In these cases, the role typically begins fully on campus to support onboarding and training, with the potential to transition to a hybrid arrangement thereafter.

Positions designated as on-site are not eligible for hybrid work and are expected to remain fully on campus.
