Job Summary
 St. Lucie Battery and Tire is seeking a motivated General Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform essential vehicle maintenance and light repairs to help ensure customer vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
 • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
 • Inspect vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and engine issues
 • Repair or replace components such as brakes, batteries, and exhaust systems
 • Conduct vehicle safety inspections and road tests
 • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and team members
 • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
 • Operate lifts, jacks, and tools in accordance with safety guidelines
 • Follow proper lifting and safety procedures at all times

Required Skills and Qualifications
 • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
 • Excellent communication and customer service skills
 • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
 • Strong time management and organizational skills
 • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
 • Basic math skills for fluid measurements and service calculations
 • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills

Education and Experience
 • High school diploma or equivalent required
 • Zero to one year of automotive or related experience preferred
 • Entry level candidates with mechanical ability are encouraged to apply
 • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Certifications and Licenses
 • Valid unrestricted driver’s license required
 • Ability to obtain TIA and ALI certifications upon training

Work Environment
 • Automotive repair shop setting with exposure to noise, exhaust, and chemicals
 • Use of personal protective equipment required
 • Regular attendance and adherence to uniform standards required
 • Employees provide and maintain basic tools

Physical Requirements
 • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
 • Frequent bending, squatting, and working under vehicles
 • Ability to stand for extended periods
 • Use of hand and power tools daily
 • Ability to reach overhead and perform physical tasks throughout the day
