Head of Cultivation

Viridian Staffing's(www.viridianstaffing.com)Client is looking for a quality and data-driven Head of Cultivation for anindoor grow operation in the Sedona, Arizona, area.

As Head ofCultivation, you will be responsible for the leadership and organization forall cultivation activities in the grow operation.  You will direct and oversee the employeeactivities for all operations from propagation, planting and cultivating, toirrigation, harvesting, and record keeping. You should have a "rollup your sleeves" attitude in order to be successful in this operation andare very passionate about quality yields and continuous improvement.  Youwill be expected to refine and enforce existing Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) in an effort to advance the Company's mission.   Usingyour knowledge of Arizona Cannabis regulations and OSHA rules, you will ensureadherence to compliance and safety regulations by all employees.  Using your proven experience with organicliving soil meeting or exceeding yield expectations, you will plan and directoperations for optimum quality crop production.  As a successful peoplemanager known for inspiring your employees, you enjoy hiring, training, andcoaching employees in all aspects of the grow operation.

The ideal HeadGrower will have 5+ years of successful commercial cannabis cultivationexperience, with at least 2+ years of that experience as a people manager in acultivation environment. You have managed indoor cultivation facilities ofat least 20k+ square feet of canopy which use organic living soil. Youhave experience with both HPS and LED lighting. You have phenomenalcommunication skills and enjoy being part of a team, versus only spending timewith the plants. Ideally, you'll have a degree in horticulture oragronomy.  You are an expert when itcomes to climate control and understand crop planning and scheduling. It ispreferred that you understand the climate complexities of the Southwest.  If you love all aspects of managing a growcycle, mentoring/managing the people who also have a strong passion forgrowing, and developing your direct reports, then we'd love to see your resumeto be considered for this opportunity!
