Do you get energized by shaping a project before the first stone is even laid? As a Project Manager, you own the day-to-day execution of the development cycle — from permitting through construction to delivery. You keep timing, budget and quality on track, lead the internal and external teams involved, and make sure every project moves smoothly through its decision milestones.

  • You'll manage project timing, budget, quality and impact targets against a clear, structured process of decision milestones and phase gates, in collaboration with the fund manager.
  • You'll lead internal teams (e.g. Construction, Environment, Sales, Marketing) and steer external partners such as architects and consultants, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance.
  • You'll secure permits and manage regulatory and legal processes, aiming for zero permit appeals, and build strong relationships with municipalities and stakeholders.
  • You'll report progress, risks and outcomes to the board on a regular cadence, keeping sales, construction and financial planning aligned as the project evolves
  • You'll build and stress-test business plans, translating key development assumptions into calculated scenarios.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of project management experience in real estate or construction, with a strong grip on budgeting, scheduling and risk management
  • Comfort managing multidisciplinary and external teams, and steering permits and licensing processes through to approval
  • Working knowledge of financial and feasibility concepts is a plus, but the core strength is running a structured, well-governed project process
  • Sharp negotiation and stakeholder management skills, particularly with municipalities and authorities, with an eye for risk before it becomes a problem
  • Financial modelling, feasibility studies and business plan development, and/or a background with economic and Excel skills, is a strong plus
  • A results-driven, modern mindset, ready to work autonomously and challenge traditional ways of working

  • Benefits

The opportunity to work for a European frontrunner in neighbourhood development, in a small, close-knit team with a close link to Belgium. We Build Society, offering an attractive, market-competitive compensation and benefits package.
