Job Description

Youth Baseball & Softball Umpires NEEDED for Johnson County Parks & Recreation District (JCPRD). Looking for an exciting and fun way to become involved? Umpiring may just be the perfect way to get involved and make extra.

• Prior experience great but not required.
• Great part-time job for high school, college or anyone who likes being outdoors while earning $$$.
• We train new umpires and tailor training to fit your needs.  
• Minimum age is 16 years and older.
• We provide shirts and have equipment available for usage at facility.  
• Work as often or as little as you like per YOUR schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation and be dependable.
• Part-time, Seasonal employment
• Pay: $20.00 - $36.00 per game
• Flexible work schedule with expected hours: 4 – 20 per week (3 hours per evening) Sunday - Thursday.
• All games are from 60 -75 minutes.

Job Requirements

• Minimum age is 16 years and older.
• No experience needed, will train candidates with the eagerness to learn.
• Requires punctuality and self-accountability.
• Able to work in an outdoor environment.
• Must have good communication with coaches and players.
• Must be able to learn and apply fastpitch and machine pitch rules

JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department.
