Summary: The material handler receiving position is responsible for the incoming of material, managing inventory, and maintaining plant organization. Responsibilities/Duties:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Minimum expectations include but are not limited to: Load/unload trucks. Verify incoming materials. Data entry. Plant organization. Participate month end inventory. Maintain accurate inventory counts in AS/400. Manage materials in multiple locations. Release materials from vendors. Issue purchase orders. Cycle count materials. Takes responsibility of work area to produce a safe and quality food product.  Report all food safety and quality related problems to your manager and to the QA department to initiate immediate action. Supervisory Responsibility:  No. QualificationsSpecific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc: Required education high school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months’ experience: or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Class A driver’s license.  Lift Truck Certification (walk behind and rider). Requires the ability to print and speak simple English sentences.  Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Requires the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds. Requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.    Physical Requirements:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
