Job Title: Floor Technician

Job Type: Full-time

As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning floors in various settings, including commercial, industrial, and healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing
Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as scrubbers and polishers
Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs to management
Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
Communicate effectively with team members and management

Requirements

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a Floor Technician or similar role
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
Ability to operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

Moderate physical activity:
Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet.
Standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time.
Assist with cleaning up spills and waste (including human).
Repetitive gripping of trays, mops, vacuums, etc.
Exposure to sound of the floor buffer.
