Job Details: Job Location: Laser Design & Die - Shreveport, LA, Salary Range: $57928.00 - $57928.00Salary/year, Title: DesignerDepartment: Laser, Design, and Die (LDD)Location: Hawn AvenueWage Category: Non-ExemptReport To: Assistant Director, Laser, Design, and Die Duties include but are not limited to: Generate designs for non-skid kits or pieces by utilizing the AutoCAD program Assist in the design process Assist in meeting production goals Establish drawings and checklist for quality assurance inspections Ensure designs are properly installed in laser cutter before manufacturing Maintain detailed records of all designs in readily assessable files Communicate effectively with military personnel and equipment manufacturers both verbally and in writing Be familiar with costing practices Be available to work flexible hours when required Ensure detailed records of all engineering drawings and designs are accurate and formatted correctly on servers in readily assessable files Research and development of new products and equipment Have a firm operating knowledge of Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machine operations and software All other duties deemed necessary Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Formal training on AutoCAD software or two years of practical experience General operating knowledge of office machinery and computer systems General operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe software Must be a self-starter and work efficiently without supervision Must be self-motivated to finish a task in a timely and efficient manner
