Re-entry Peer Support Specialist

Job Details: Job Location: 70th WFD - Shreveport, LA, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Salary Range: $17.00 - $17.00Hourly, SUMMARY: This position will assist the EXIT 318 Reentry program staff and act as liaison and mentor to participants in the EXIT-318 program to ensure the success of each individual re-entering the community.Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS:Education and/or Experience: Requires a high school diploma or HiSET equivalency, and a personal lived experience with being incarcerated. Knowledge of reentry and community resources is preferred.  Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Possess a privately owned vehicle, a valid license, and automobile insurance, or must be able to access locations, possibly at a moments notice that may not be accessible by public transportation. Applicant must be proficient with programs such as Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace, and Excel. Peer Support Specialist Training or Certification through the Louisiana Department of Health Preferred.  Screenings: A background screening, driving record check, and reference checks will be completed as a condition of employment.
