- Review the contract documents and manage the engineering schedule for Substation projects.
- Review the vendor drawings and evaluate offers for making a contract for Substation projects.
- Review the approval documents and client’s comments for Substation projects.
- Manage the budget and save the cost for Substation projects.
- Lead the approval of documents and make a design concept for Substation projects.
- Report the progress of engineering and plan a catch-up (if required).
- Coordinate with site and vendor to meet the project schedules.
- Have a meeting with vendor and client.
- Review/ Comment on equipment type test report, FAT report and As-built drawings.
- Support and solve technical issues with other engineers.
- Lead the preparation of Basic Design – SLD, Protection SLD, Trip Matrix, Interlock logic diagram, SAS Signal list, SAS block diagram, Communication system block diagram etc.
- Lead the preparation of Calculations – Relay setting calculation, CT/VT sizing, Battery/ Charger sizing, MCCB/MCB sizing, HV/MV/LV cable sizing, etc.
- Lead a preparation of Detailed Drawing – BOM list of construction, Review/ Check all detailed drawings, Checklist & drawing for site survey, Review/ Comment for civil and building drawing, BOM & diagram etc.
- Preparation of cable interconnection and termination schedule.
- Knowledge of Substation system studies will have added advantage.
- Experience on FOTE, SAS, PLCC, Communication protocols, Data transmission with remote end LDC, LAN, CCTV etc. is a must.
