Help grow support for life-changing behavioral health services across Maryland.

Santé is hiring a Director of Development to grow support for behavioral health and crisis services across Maryland.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on fundraising leader who can build strategy, grow relationships, and help expand philanthropic support for a mission that matters.

In this role, you’ll:

Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy across government, foundation, corporate, individual, and planned giving sources.
Build Santé’s culture of philanthropy across staff, Board, external supporters.
Establish the policies, systems, and reporting needed to support a growing development operation.
Build and lead the development function, including any development staff and management of external development consultants.
Write compelling grant proposals, donor appeals, sponsorship pitches, and stewardship communications.
Partner with the CEO, leadership team, and Board on donor engagement and stewardship.
Build relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations across Maryland.

You’ll be a strong fit if you bring:

5+ years of progressive fundraising experience.
Direct grant writing experience and cultivation of major gifts.
Strong relationship-building skills with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundation funders.
Experience contributing to building or growing a development program.
Comfortable building a development function from the early-stage, including establishing systems, processes, and donor cultivation.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to translate organization strategy into a compelling case for support.
Connection to behavioral health, healthcare, or human services missions preferred.
