Job Purpose

The Recruitment Consultant plays a key role in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused recruitment service that supports the organisation in attracting, engaging, and appointing talented individuals. Acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, the role provides expert guidance throughout the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, ensuring recruitment processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organisational policies and employment legislation. The post holder will build strong stakeholder relationships, promote the organisation's employer brand, and continuously seek innovative approaches to attract and retain high-quality candidates.



Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to deliver a seamless end-to-end recruitment service, providing expert advice and guidance throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Manage recruitment campaigns from vacancy creation and advertising through to offer and onboarding, ensuring an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Develop and implement effective attraction strategies to reach diverse talent pools using a range of internal and external recruitment channels.
  • Provide advice on recruitment best practice, market trends, employment legislation, and candidate attraction methods.
  • Manage a portfolio of vacancies simultaneously, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and recruitment deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, candidates, and external partners, promoting the organisation as an employer of choice.
  • Organise and attend recruitment events, careers fairs, and engagement activities to increase organisational visibility and attract prospective candidates.
  • Maintain and optimise the recruitment system, ensuring accurate records, effective workflow management, and a positive user experience.
  • Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment process, providing timely feedback and coordinating offers and onboarding activities.
  • Monitor recruitment activity, analyse performance metrics, and produce reports to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with employment legislation, organisational policies, and safer recruitment practices where applicable.
  • Contribute to individual and team performance objectives and support the continuous improvement of recruitment processes and services.


Requirements

  • Previous experience in an internal recruitment, talent acquisition, or recruitment consultancy role.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes, candidate attraction strategies, and selection methodologies.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment best practices.
  • Experience managing multiple recruitment campaigns and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
  • Experience using recruitment or applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruitment data and produce meaningful reports.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an excellent recruitment experience.
