Position Type: Full-time

Pay Range starts at $14 per hour (or more depending on experience)

Shift: Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

You’ll support and supervise our Lifeguards, keep daily operations on track, and build positive relationships with members. If you’re an experienced Lifeguard who enjoys helping others succeed, we’d love to meet you!

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise, organize, and schedule Lifeguards while ensuring the pool and surrounding areas are properly covered.
• Promote safety by enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies, identifying hazards, and completing required reports.
• Help lead staff trainings, evaluations, readiness drills, and daily opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor pool and whirlpool chemical levels and help keep the aquatic facility clean, organized, and ready for members.
• Build relationships with members and connect them with YMCA aquatics programs and resources.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum Age: 18
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification and intermediate swimming ability.
• At least 500 hours and two seasons of lifeguarding experience, with the ability to lead others.
• Strong communication, sound judgment, initiative, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Pool operations and chemical-testing experience; Certified Pool Operator certification is preferred.
