Activities Assistant – Weekend Shift
Water's Edge Assisted Living of Bradenton is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Weekend Activities Assistants. If you enjoy engaging with seniors and have a passion for creating a lively, supportive environment, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare field.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of activities, entertainment, and recreational therapies for residents
- Engage residents in social, physical, and cognitive activities to promote well-being and quality of life
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure activities meet residents’ needs and preferences
- Maintain a safe and clean activity area, adhering to facility policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
- Genuine interest in working with seniors and enhancing their daily experiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and schedules
- Prior experience in activities coordination or healthcare is a plus but not required
- Reliable, responsible, and able to commit to both Saturday and Sunday shifts
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for serving others
