Hoffer Plastics is hiring for "Automation Helper ".

Starting Pay $20.00 - $25.00 (based on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES

All machinery located at the press or in the Assembly department used in second operations
Assist the Automation department with running errands to vendors / repair shops etc. Must be able to effectively communicate to outside vendors.
Observe, assist and learn the basic operation of automation machinery.
The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
Preform preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment
Maintain work area in neat and orderly manner. General housekeeping duties as assigned.
Observe safety rules and wearing of prescribed protective clothing or items.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Working in a clean manufacturing environment that may include moderate noise levels and will require spending a significant amount of time moving around on the manufacturing floor.
Ability to stand and/or walk up to constantly during the shift.
Lifting up to fifty-five pounds (55).
Bending, stooping, twisting, balancing, kneeling and crouching is involved in the regular execution of duties.
Ability to push and pull items.
Ability to ascend/descend, work atop and traverse molding machines, assembly equipment, ladders and aerial lift equipment,
Ability to work occasionally in small cramped spaces.
Must wear appropriate PPE including fire retardant apparel.

QUALIFICATIONS

Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or a 2-year technical degree
Experience troubleshooting and improving Electrical Control, Vision System, PLC Systems, Robotics and continuous motion systems strongly preferred.
Machining background in Mill and Lathe preferred
Mechanical comprehension preferred blueprints
Ability to read and interpret prints and diagrams preferred
Strong general computer skills including CAD (Solidworks and/or ProE) preferred
