Hoffer Plastics is hiring for "Machine Operator", "3rd shift".

Play a key role in producing plastic components that make everyday life possible, from transportation to food packaging to healthcare.

Starting Pay $18 (based on experience)

3 rd Shift Hours are 12:00am – 8:00am

Responsibilities:

Perform routine duties to operate various plastic molding/assembly machines producing a wide variety of molded parts.
Visually scan for manufacturing defects, trim, sort, assemble, weigh/count and package parts.
Make up boxes, record, verify production labels and operate grinder.
Work from verbal and posted written instructions at the press.
Maintain work area in neat and orderly manner.
Housekeeping; maintaining the cleanliness and safety requirements
Report on defective material and equipment
Responsible for maintaining quality and quantity standards
Follow the GMP rules, safety rules and wearing required protective clothing or items.

- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
- Continue to grow job specific knowledge and use tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Regular, predictable on-site attendance is an essential function of the job.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The incumbent will:

usually stand/walk most of their work day
occasionally sit, stoop, kneel and crouch
occasionally lift, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds
use of specific vision abilities normally required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
infrequent use of finger/hand movements and keyboarding

Qualifications:

High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
Must be able to read/write/speak English
Basic math proficiency
