The Cancellations Payable Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of contract cancellations and vendor payments. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of requests while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. You will serve as a key liaison between internal teams, automotive dealers, and lienholders — supporting a seamless cancellation process and upholding Cadence’s standards of service, innovation, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies; identify, resolve, and correct errors promptly. Review approved payables and verify amounts for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness. Manage contract cancellations with efficiency and consistency, handling a high volume of requests. Consistently ensure timely and accurate processing of payments. Communicate with automotive dealers and lienholders to obtain necessary documents and confirm payment status. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers. Work collaboratively as a flexible team player to support department goals and accounting objectives. Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements. Prepare reports and analyses as needed to support decision-making and operational visibility. QualificationsQualifications Experience in accounts payable, accounting operations, or a similar clerical/financial role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills — verbal, written, and customer-service oriented. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative working approach. Familiarity with accounting systems or ERP platforms (experience with Acumatica is a plus).
