Specialist - Patient Experience 32-40 hours/week

The Patient Experience Specialist will contribute to an exceptional patient experience through internal and external communication with patients, team members, and community partners. The Specialist will collaborate with team members and patients to ensure all patient information: demographic, insurance or sliding fee, etc. has been collected and entered accurately into the medical record to assist in patient care and accurate billing. They will review completed visits to make edits and corrections to ensure they are accurately submitted to the Revenue Cycle Team. The Specialist will contribute to creating and implementing efficient and effective workflows to create exceptional patient experience through accurate insurance and demographic information.

This position is not eligible for a hybrid or fully-remote schedule.  Must be able to work on-site.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant experience required.
• Experience in healthcare and/or customer service preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Computer skills, including command of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) are required.
• Knowledge of applicable office procedures and terminology.
• Knowledge of regulations such as HIPAA.
• Knowledge of EMRs, particularly NextGen, would be beneficial.
• Experience working in a community health center designated as a federally qualified health center (FQHC), and knowledge of FQHC requirements is beneficial.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurances is helpful.
