Part Time: Occupational Therapist (OT) – Inpatient Rehabilitation
Starting at $44.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Straith Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team on a contingent basis. If you are passionate about helping patients restore independence and improve their quality of life, we invite you to apply.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and providing occupational therapy services to hospital inpatients. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals, you will develop individualized treatment plans that support each patient's functional recovery and safe transition to the next level of care.

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, including assessment of functional limitations, appropriateness of OT intervention, and development of treatment plans.
  • Establish individualized goals, treatment frequency, and duration based on patient needs.
  • Administer Occupational Therapy treatments consistent with the established plan of care.
  • Re-evaluate patient progress and modify or discontinue treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
  • Accurately document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and outcomes in accordance with department and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nursing staff, case management, and rehabilitation professionals.
  • Participate in discharge planning to support safe and effective transitions of care.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and documentation standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Occupational Therapy License to practice in the State of Michigan.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Must pass background check and drug screening.

Preferred:

  • Previous inpatient rehabilitation or acute care experience
